Thank you for your interest in working for Mad Science.  We are now hiring for Spring 2010 classes for After School Enrichment Instructors. 

As a Mad Science Instructor you will be responsible for facilitating an eight week, one hour after-school science program with a pre-set curriculum. We provide training and all equipment.  Each session is a very high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one-hour each week, 45 minutes for preschool.  All of our classes are located at schools and park districts in the Northern Cook and Lake County area.

MAD SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS
To be invited to the interview you must have the following qualifications:

****Previous experience with groups of preschool or grade school kids in a formalized (paid or volunteer) setting. 

(being a parent does not qualify)

• Able to work a minimum of 2 classes per week.

• Up-beat, child-friendly personality.

• Have a reliable car or access to a reliable car.

• Have a valid drivers license and current proof of automobile insurance.
• Looking for PART-TIME work.

         AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT INSTRUCTORS

You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. You MUST enjoy/have experience working with children, have a functioning car, and be a highly energetic and DYNAMIC individual with a desire to make learning fun. This is VERY part-time work. We need people to teach between 2 and 5 one-hour classes per week.

We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials.

The average instructor will work 2-5 classes per week, making $50-$125 per week. (Depending upon availability and experience.) Classes are generally between 3:00 and 5:00 pm.

PRESCHOOL SCIENCE ENRICHMENT INSTRUCTORS 

Great position for a mom who wants to work while your kids are at school. 

You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. You MUST enjoy/have experience working with groups of preschool children ages 4-6, have a functioning car, and be a highly energetic and DYNAMIC individual with a desire to make learning fun. This is VERY part-time work. We need people to teach between 2 to 5 days per week. 

Most preschool classes run between 9:15 AM and 2:30 PM.

We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials.

The average instructor will work 2-10 classes per week, making $40-$200 per week. (Depending upon availability and experience.)
